So, what does this set involve? Well, from the beginning we start with concept images created for us by Concept Artist Jeremy Love - the remit was to produce a 380 meter high mobile battle platform that could literally walk up to cities and invade using its own army. On its back are weapons storage facilities, power plants, even a full hangar (which was a great fun piece to model, you can actually walk through the inside of it).
The piece was created for a fictional TV-Show to explain and show the end user how exactly to create a complex ?hero? piece for film quality work. The model had to be of use for closeup shots, for distance shots and of course easily broken into parts for individual scenes involving the components. What is interesting about this piece is the sheer scale - you can literally climb up the ladder from the rear of the heel to the internal leg struts, all the way up till you reach the torso where the rear is a maze of pipework and ladders and gantries all the way to the hangars and the bridge.
