As a 9-year professional baseball player, I've read other sport psychology books, but I think this book provides athletes the most concrete tools, useful on a daily basis. Especially great is how Selk integrates visualization into the "Personal Highlight Reel". It makes for a interesting and effective performance tool that I enjoy using regularly. As a baseball instructor, I have recommended this book to parents and young athletes, who have benefited. Students have been more focused and motivated as they learn how to set and meet goals, use "positive self-talk" and learn how to better control their emotional state in practice and games. Alongside a few strength training, baseball specific&sports nutrition books, I've put 10-Minute Toughness on a very short list of go-to books for both in-season and off season.
