I really liked this book. I was surprised at the mixed reviews, so many people did not like this book. I can't figure out why. Ms. Thurman's books, the not five stars, are better than most of the urban fantasy books out there. Is it too much fantasy for the urban fantasy readers, the fact that Ms. Thurman writes about heaven, hell, angels and demons? Anyway, I really enjoyed this book, I liked the main character, I loved Zeke and Griffin, and hope to see them in the next book.
There were so many twists at the end of this book, the trick I guess was played on the reader, but I loved it, loved that there were many things I did not see coming,and there they were.
I am looking forward to the next book in this series, again a few twists that could make the next book really interesting!!
I think Ms Thurman is a wonderful writer, I love her Cal Leandros series so much, glad this series is off to a good start.
