This is where you really have to start paying attention. A lot is going on, and I found myself struggling to keep all the names straight at more than one point. But that's not a bad thing, it's good - things are getting serious. Faythe is on trial for infecting Andrew, murdering him, and insubordination. A mysterious tabby has some serious explaining to do. The politics exposed in the novel are more interesting that those one sees (or rather doesn't) on the news, and [the corruptness] equally infuriating. Marc has been exiled, which is sad seeing as the romance with Faythe was blossoming, but hopefully this will help her mature and focus on things outside of herself. This is one of those books that is hard to put down, keeping you up until the wee hours of the morn. Highly recommended!
