This book seems to be the transition away from Ash and his dark hunters to her other series of were-hunters and dream chasers. I enjoyed the story; it held my attention, but if you are expecting Ash and his dark hunters to be included you may be disappointed. These characters were so much more interesting than those of of "later" books in the series (books 8, 9, 10 and 11) so I was happy to see the series on the "rise" again. But it won't ever be a favorite since it's not really about Ash and the dark hunters.
